Our Freeride Camps are focused on the Austrian Alps, in particular in the Zillertal Valley in the amazing alpine region of Tyrol. The slender mountains that surround the valley dotted with picturesque villages and pristine rivers, make this destination a must for any lover of mountain and freeriders.
For them we have close cooperation with the austrian mountain ski school Habeler, founded by Peter Habeler alpinist living legend who climbed for first ascent without oxygen the Mount Everest with Reinhold Messner in 1978. Currently the school is run by his son Chris Habeler that will guide us along Soulmountain team to discover the best kept secrets Zillertal Valley.
The Zillertal valley far exceeds its reputation for paradise of winter sports, with a ski area of 489 km spread over 130 tracks and 117 ski lifts. There are five resorts that host this domain, all included in a unique pass, the “Super Zillertal ski pass”.
Having in mind the ski area within the ski boundary, it is easy to imagine the endless possibilities of freeride. From Hintertux glacier with a maximum altitude of 3300 meters, ensuring good quality of snow throughout all the season, with freeride routes over 1800 meters of desnivel. Hochfüguen ski resort one of the meccas of freeride in Europe. The secret forest of the small ski area of Gerlosstein, which represents the authentic and genuine Tyrolean mountain culture. The local name of “bus” in Horberg, Mayrhofen, freeride area connected with a gondola for 150 people which gives us access from the peak Wanglspitz to countless shoots on all sides of the mountain. The beautiful area between the peaks Iskogel and Übergangshoch in Zillertal Arena with freeride lines for all levels. And much more that you would discover.
Soulmountain Freeride Camps.
